    DIY WEEKEND SPA

Sometimes there is nothing better to do on a weekend evening then stay home and pamper yourself, at least we think so and most likely your skin might agree as well. Relaxation is something we seem to appreciate more and more as time passes. With most of the week filled with deadlines and full schedules, a little R&R goes SUCH a long way.

We would like to share with you a quick and easy way to pamper yourself so you can enjoy a spa like experience right from the comfort of your own home and you probably already have all the ingredients you need to make your very on "glow mask". Check out our recipe below as well as the details about the ingredients included. You might want to know what benefit each may have on your skin.

A little about the ingredients included in this mask so you can fully understand the health benefits of each:

Rolled Oats: Great for acne or even dry skin, rolled oats helps absorb excess oil while at the same time hydrating the skin. Naturally exfoliates and helps remove dry patches usually associated with dead skin cell build up.

Raw Honey or Manuka Honey: Endless health benefits from honey but we love it in skin care preparations for it's ability to deeply hydrate and plump the skin. Honey has antibacterial properties so it can be very helpful for acne prone skin. It's anti-inflammatory properties help soothe and balance stressed skin.

Lemon Juice: Used for centuries to help brighten the skin and lighten hyper pigmentation marks. Packed with vitamin C that has been proven over and over to help boost collagen and elastin production.

Greek Yogurt: We love it for it's probiotic power but we also love it for it's brightening and moisturizing effect. Natural source of lactic acid known for it's brightening effect on the skin. Will help remove dead skin cells without messing with moisture levels. In fact, it will give your skin a very nice moisturizing effect.

Turmeric: We have studied turmeric for a very long time and even added it to FLORA-C (https://www.maxdahlia.com/product-page/flora-c-treatment-creme-oil) for it's well documented health benefits. Used for centuries in India not only in Indian cuisine but also in beauty rituals primarily for it's brightening effect due to it's powerful antioxidant components of the active ingredient curcumin that is found in turmeric.

There you have it. This mask is very easy to make and you will find that your skin will look and feel brighter and fresher.

We highly suggest investing in a facial steamer to use before mask application. The steam from a steamer will help open pores as well as aid in skin detoxification. Applying a mask to freshly open pores will increase the benefit of your mask as well as aid in deep cleansing. If you have any question, feel free to comment below. And ladies, share the love by sharing this mask with your friends and family. Your loved ones will be thankful that you care about their skin as much as your own. You know how that goes. Happy masking <3
